CBD is illegal in Equatorial Guinea. The 1980 narcotics law and the 1991 dangerous-drugs law treat all cannabis derivatives as controlled substances without a THC threshold that would exempt cannabidiol. The Ministerio de Sanidad y Bienestar Social has not authorised CBD as a medicine, supplement, or cosmetic ingredient.
Pharmacies in Malabo and Bata do not legally sell CBD. Imports of CBD oils, gummies, tinctures, or topicals are treated as cannabis derivatives under the narcotics regime and seized at customs. There is no licensing pathway for pharmaceutical or cosmetic CBD and no industrial-hemp CBD exemption.
