CBD has no separate carve-out in Fijian law. The Illicit Drugs Control Act 2004 controls cannabis without reference to cannabinoid composition, and the Medicinal Products Act 2015 administered by the Fiji Pharmacy Profession Board has not registered any CBD pharmaceutical. The Ministry of Health and Medical Services treats CBD claims as unregistered medicine claims, which are themselves an offence under the Medicinal Products Act.
Travelers arriving at Nadi from jurisdictions where CBD is sold over the counter, including Australia, New Zealand, and the United States, should not assume their products will clear customs. Officers from the Fiji Revenue and Customs Service have authority to detain CBD oils, gummies, vapes, and cosmetics. Online imports are similarly subject to detention. There is no licensed domestic CBD industry. Pharmacists do not dispense CBD products to Fijian residents, and no diagnostic indication has been published for cannabinoid prescribing.
