CBD is legal in Trinidad and Tobago under the Cannabis Control Act 2019, which decriminalized cannabis and established a licensing framework for cannabis-derived products including cannabidiol.
The Trinidad and Tobago Cannabis Licensing Authority (TTCLA) regulates licensed manufacture, distribution, and sale of CBD products. CBD-only products with low or zero THC are increasingly available through licensed pharmacies and retailers, while imported finished CBD goods require either a Ministry of Health import permit (for medicines) or fall within the personal-use 30-gram threshold. Epidyolex and other registered cannabinoid medicines may be dispensed by prescription. Unlicensed commercial sale remains an offense under Section 26 of the Cannabis Control Act.
