New Jersey's S3235/A4461 (P.L. 2024, c.73), signed by Governor Murphy on September 12, 2024 and effective October 12, 2024, routes intoxicating hemp products including THCA into the Cannabis Regulatory Commission framework. Smoke shops, vape stores, and convenience stores cannot sell THCA flower or other intoxicating hemp items. Civil penalties run up to $10,000 per violation.

Licensed New Jersey cannabis dispensaries are the only lawful retail channel for these products.
