Overview
AIQ, also referred to as Alpine IQ, is a customer marketing platform established in 2019. It serves retailers and brands, and its cannabis pages describe a platform built for cannabis retailers. AIQ says it has supported more than 7,000 retail locations and powers relationships with more than 200 million consumers. The company says it is fully remote, and its website lists a mailing address in Broomfield, Colorado.
The platform includes Persona CRM and data tools for owning and activating customer data, along with automated flows triggered by orders. Campaigns run over SMS, email, push notifications, voice and direct mail, and they cover moments such as abandoned carts, birthdays, winbacks and lotteries. Loyalty tools let retailers build tiered programs that track visits and spend. An AI layer called Astro runs across the product, and AIQ says its data tools keep customer records clean and connected as a business grows.
For online sales, AIQ menus integrate with loyalty, are built for search visibility and display cannabis attributes such as terpenes, effects, cannabinoids and product type. The ecommerce tools include age gates, purchase limits and location-based restrictions. Analytics cover product trends, customer behavior, campaign performance and revenue. Alpine IQ expanded these areas through acquisitions. It bought Dispense, an ecommerce and order management platform for dispensaries, and in June 2025 it acquired Terpli, a virtual budtender and recommendation engine, along with Happy Cabbage's Happy Marketers suite.
As of October 2026, AIQ's integrations page lists POS systems including Flowhub, Dutchie POS, Cova, Treez, Blaze, BioTrack, Meadow, Greenline and POSaBIT; ecommerce platforms including Dutchie, Jane, Leafly and Weedmaps; and payment providers including Aeropay and CanPay. AIQ's security page says the information security program follows the SOC 2 framework, databases are encrypted at rest, applications use TLS in transit, data is hosted on AWS and Google Cloud in the United States unless a customer requests otherwise, and an independent penetration test is performed at least annually.
