Overview
Canix makes enterprise resource planning (ERP) software for cannabis cultivators, manufacturers and distributors, and its FAQ says the software also covers processing. Canix was founded in 2019 by Stacey Hronowski after Hronowski consulted for a cannabis company in California, and the company is based in San Francisco. In January 2026, Canix announced that it had acquired Trym, a cultivation management software platform.
Metrc integration is central to the product. Canix says that it is not affiliated with or owned by Metrc but integrates in all Metrc states, that data submitted through Canix is available in Metrc immediately, and that it sends a confirmation email for every Metrc submission. Its backend can also connect to BioTrack, and Canix generates on-demand CCRS compliance reports for Washington operators. Label printing can import testing data from Metrc.
Canix covers inventory tracking through the supply chain, invoicing for sales orders, and employee task tracking with time estimates that feed cost of goods sold (COGS). Finance tools track accounts receivable and accounts payable and support granular COGS. Cultivators can forecast cuttings and clones with nursery forecasting tools, manufacturers can view processing and manufacturing yield percentages, and business intelligence reports use custom charts and can be filtered across multiple facilities.
Canix says its apps are built natively for iOS, Android and iPad, alongside a web app, and that compliance data can be entered offline and synced once a network connection is available. The barcode scanner runs on the phone without extra hardware. Canix supports RFID scanners alongside its Bluetooth scale integration for harvests, and it lists integrations with Zebra hardware and Ohaus scales. Customer data is stored in AWS, and Canix describes itself as SOC 2 compliant.
For sales, Canix Marketplace syncs with Metrc and gives each Canix user a branded shop URL that shows live available inventory to wholesale buyers, and buyer accounts are free. A storefront feature supports bulk orders from available inventory. As of October 2026, Canix lists integrations with QuickBooks (Online or Desktop), Sage Intacct, LeafLink and Green Check Verified, offers an open API, and provides an MCP server that answers plain-English questions about Canix data after users grant access through OAuth. Canix does not publish prices. It says pricing depends on the state, licensing structure and facility size, that a facility subscription includes unlimited seats, and that training is provided online and in person.
