Imports of CBD oils, tinctures, gummies, vapes, and cosmetics are blocked at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport and overland from India. The Department of Narcotics Control treats cannabidiol as a Class A controlled substance, with the same possession penalties as marijuana, including up to 5 years' imprisonment for small amounts and the death sentence for large quantities under the 2018 Act.
