Is CBD Legal in Kuwait?

CBD is illegal in Kuwait. Law No. 74 of 1983 controls cannabis and all preparations containing cannabinoids, and the Kuwait Drug and Food Control Administration (DFCA) under the Ministry of Health has not registered any cannabidiol product.

Imports of CBD oils, gummies, balms, and vape cartridges via Aramex, DHL, or the Kuwait Postal Services are routinely intercepted by the General Administration of Customs at the Kuwait International Airport courier hub. The DFCA has not added Epidyolex or Sativex to the Kuwait Drug Registry, and no compassionate-use pathway exists. Travelers carrying CBD have been prosecuted under Article 31; Kuwaiti prosecutors apply strict-liability treatment to any cannabis-derived preparation regardless of overseas legal status.
