Cannabis & Hemp Overview

CBD is legal in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines under the Medicinal Cannabis Industry Act 2018, which created a licensed framework for cultivation, processing, and sale of cannabis-derived medicines including CBD products.

The Medicinal Cannabis Authority (MCA), established by Section 5 of the Act, licenses producers and processors. CBD products with low THC are available through licensed dispensaries and approved exporters. The Ministry of Health regulates pharmaceutical CBD medicines; Epidyolex may be prescribed by registered physicians. Unlicensed sale of CBD products outside the MCA framework remains an offense under the Drugs (Prevention of Misuse) Act.
