CBD is illegal in Turkmenistan. The Ministry of Health and Medical Industry has not registered any cannabidiol product, and the 2008 narcotics law does not exempt CBD from its scheduled substances.
Imports of CBD oils, tinctures, edibles, and cosmetics are blocked at Ashgabat International Airport. The State Customs Service treats all cannabis-derived products as controlled narcotics, and travelers risk prosecution under Article 292 of the Criminal Code regardless of foreign prescriptions or low THC content.
