Is marijuana legal in Poland?
No, recreational cannabis is illegal in Poland. Medical cannabis is legal on prescription and, after a telemedicine boom and crackdown, the program is again growing fast.
Is CBD legal in Poland?
CBD is legal to sell in Poland when it is derived from industrial hemp and contains no more than 0.3% THC, the limit set under the 2022 amendment to the Drug Prevention Act.
Is hemp legal in Poland?
Industrial hemp is legal to grow in Poland. Farmers must register with the Krajowy Ośrodek Wsparcia Rolnictwa (KOWR) and use seeds from varieties listed in the EU Common Catalogue of Varieties of Agricultural Plant Species.
Can you travel to Poland with cannabis or CBD?
All of Poland's medical cannabis raw material is imported, wholesalers bring in flower and extracts under Główny Inspektorat Farmaceutyczny (GIF) permits with per-shipment narcotics authorizations, and pharmacies dispense it as compounded preparations.

The Act on Counteracting Drug Addiction of 29 July 2005 does not list cannabis seeds as controlled substances, so high-THC seeds may be bought, mailed and owned for collector purposes, but Article 63 criminalizes any unauthorized cultivation and supplying seeds to facilitate illicit growing is punishable. Fibre hemp may be grown only after entry in the register kept by KOWR (National Support Centre for Agriculture) using EU-catalogue varieties up to 0.3% THC, with own-use cultivation capped at one hectare per year.
