Is marijuana legal in Mongolia?
Recreational marijuana is illegal in Mongolia. The Law on Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (2002, amended 2017) and Articles 19.6 and 19.7 of the Criminal Code of Mongolia criminalize possession, use, cultivation, sale, and trafficking of cannabis.
Is CBD legal in Mongolia?
CBD is illegal in Mongolia. The Mongolian Agency for Standardization and Metrology and the Ministry of Health do not authorize CBD products, and the Law on Narcotic Drugs treats all cannabis derivatives as controlled substances without a hemp-CBD exemption.
Is hemp legal in Mongolia?
Industrial hemp is illegal in Mongolia. The Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry has not licensed commercial hemp cultivation despite Mongolia's native Cannabis ruderalis populations growing wild across the steppes of Khentii, Bulgan, and Tov aimags.

Hemp grows wild across the steppe, and some secondary sources describe separate licensing for low-THC industrial hemp, but no primary licensing framework could be verified, so agricultural hemp seed status is recorded as unclear.
