Is marijuana legal in Zimbabwe?
Recreational marijuana is illegal in Zimbabwe. The Dangerous Drugs Act [Chapter 15:02] and the Criminal Law (Codification and Reform) Act [Chapter 9:23] criminalise cultivation, possession, and supply of cannabis (mbanje or dagga).
Is CBD legal in Zimbabwe?
CBD occupies a restricted, license-dependent position in Zimbabwe. The Medicines Control Authority of Zimbabwe (MCAZ) regulates cannabinoid products under the Medicines and Allied Substances Control Act [Chapter 15:03].
Is hemp legal in Zimbabwe?
Industrial hemp cultivation in Zimbabwe is permitted under license. Statutory Instrument 218 of 2019 (Dangerous Drugs, Production of Industrial Hemp) Regulations established a separate hemp framework distinct from the 2018 medicinal cannabis regime.
Can you travel to Zimbabwe with cannabis or CBD?

Statutory Instrument 62 of 2018 under the Dangerous Drugs Act [Chapter 15:02] legalised licensed production of cannabis for medicinal and scientific use, while the Agricultural Marketing Authority (Industrial Hemp) Regulations, 2020 license hemp growing under the AMA. Importing or exporting hemp seed requires a certificate from the Seed Services Institute or a recognised international seed registration authority in accordance with the Seeds Act [Chapter 19:13]. Outside these licences, viable cannabis seeds remain controlled under the Dangerous Drugs Act, so retail or personal seed dealing is unlawful.
