Is marijuana legal in Namibia?
Recreational marijuana is illegal in Namibia. The Abuse of Dependence-Producing Substances and Rehabilitation Centres Act 41 of 1971, inherited from the South African pre-independence regime, criminalises cultivation, possession, and supply of cannabis (dagga).
Is CBD legal in Namibia?
CBD is illegal in Namibia. The 1971 Act does not exempt cannabidiol, and the Namibia Medicines Regulatory Council (NMRC) has not authorised consumer or pharmaceutical CBD products.
Is hemp legal in Namibia?
Industrial hemp is not authorised in Namibia. The Ministry of Agriculture, Water and Land Reform has no licensing framework for Cannabis sativa L., and Act 41 of 1971 captures all cannabis biomass regardless of THC content.
Can you travel to Namibia with cannabis or CBD?
