Is marijuana legal in Sudan?
Recreational marijuana is illegal in Sudan. Cannabis (locally called bango) is controlled under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances and Precursors Control Act 1994 and the Sudanese Criminal Act 1991.
Is CBD legal in Sudan?
CBD is illegal in Sudan. The Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances and Precursors Control Act 1994 does not exempt cannabidiol from cannabis control, and the National Medicines and Poisons Board has not registered any cannabinoid medicine.
Is hemp legal in Sudan?
Industrial hemp is not authorised in Sudan. The Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Forests has no public licensing programme for Cannabis sativa L. cultivation, and the 1994 Narcotics Act captures all cannabis plant material regardless of THC content.
Can you travel to Sudan with cannabis or CBD?

Sudan's Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act 1994 prohibits the cultivation, possession and trafficking of cannabis, a ban in force since 1924. Viable cannabis seeds have no lawful commercial channel, and no exemption exists for low-THC hemp varieties. Despite prohibition, cannabis is widely cultivated illicitly, notably in South Darfur, and enforcement has been disrupted by the ongoing armed conflict.
