Automate Compliance TodayVenezuela's Ley Orgánica de Drogas (2010) is one of the statutes that names seeds expressly: whoever sows, cultivates, harvests, stores, or traffics, transports and distributes seeds, resins or plants containing controlled substances faces 10 to 20 years' imprisonment, and possession of seeds for purposes other than personal consumption draws 4-6 years. The law permits no cultivation, production, trade, import or sale of cannabis in any form and contains no industrial hemp category. The only leniency is decriminalized possession of up to 20 grams of marijuana for personal use, which does not extend to viable propagative material.
