Liechtenstein's Law on Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances of 1983 (Betäubungsmittelgesetz) prohibits cannabis with more than 1% THC, and a 2005 decree banned hemp outright, including its use in animal feed. Unlike neighbouring Switzerland, there is no tolerance for low-THC cannabis cultivation, so viable seeds destined for any cannabis growing lack a lawful channel. No medical cannabis programme exists beyond approved medicines such as Sativex and Epidiolex.
