Jordan's Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Law No. 23 of 2016 criminalises the cultivation, production, possession and trafficking of cannabis, and its provisions extend to material capable of producing narcotics, including seeds. Cultivation carries a minimum of three years' imprisonment, possession or use at least one year, and trafficking at least five years, with the death penalty reserved for collaboration with international trafficking networks. There is no medical cannabis, industrial hemp or seed collector exemption.
